FishWise retail partner Andronicos was called out for "very smart seafood-sustainability marketing" in a recent Seafood Source article. The article on sustainable seafood in the retail market, by Lisa Duchene, elaborated on the two ways Andronicos communicates seafood sustainability especially well. Lisa liked that the counter staff was well educated and could answer sustainability questions by pointing to their FishWise partnership. She also liked that the staff points out a fish that represents responsible purchasing without sacrificing flavor.
This article highlights a few important goals of the FishWise program: seafood staff training, customer education, and the promotion of sustainable products.
